Surrey Hills Businesses showcased in German Twin Town Exchange

Four outstanding local businesses and members of Surrey Hills Enterprises were showcased as part of an official German Twin town visit to Birtley House in Bramley.

Surrey Hills Enterprises Chairman Simon Whalley and Ambassador Mark Lebus joined the Mayor of Waverley, C11r Denise Le Gal, who joined Dr Alexander Saftig Maor for Mayen-Koblenz, a district in Germany that has been twinned with Waverley Borough Council since 1977.

Birtley House, who are an exemplar in nursing home care, hosted the party where they meet staff and residents along with a selection of inspiring local charities, businesses and artisans.

The Edge of The Florist’s Damon Kimpton demonstrated the art of creating special and unique floral displays.

Wood carving skills and pyrography was demonstrated by Ruth Wheeler.

Rosanna Gethin, a leather craft expert, showcased her special handcrafted leather products.
