Romanian Children Shoebox Appeal 2020

Romanian Children Shoebox Appeal 2020

This year, due to the challenges of Covid-19, Cranleigh Rotary Club in association with St Nicholas Church parishioners are pursuing a combined “real” and “virtual” shoebox gifting appeal for disadvantaged and disabled children in Romania.

You can support the appeal either by making a donation or filling a shoebox.

If you would like to make a donation (the virtual option), go to JustGiving : https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/cran2020

All donations will be sent by Cranleigh Rotary Club to the Pastor of the Bethlehem Centre in the old steel town of Hunedoara in Western Romania.

The Pastor and his wife will purchase gifts and distribute them, as they have done for many years to children in the region.

If you would like to fill a shoebox (the ‘real’ option) and bring it to Fountain Square, High Street, Cranleigh on the 14th November between 10.30 – 12.30, please email d.barrett90@btinternet.com for an information leaflet.

Whatever your choice of donation is, your gift can greatly enhance the quality of the Christmas season for disadvantaged children.

Please help to put a smile on the faces of children in Romania this Christmas.
