Jobs vacancy: Cranleigh Heritage Trust

Jobs vacancy: Cranleigh Heritage Trust

The Cranleigh Heritage Trust is embarking on an exciting NLHF-funded project to restore the old Cottage Hospital in Cranleigh.

They are looking for individuals to help deliver the project’s development phase.

The roles required are

Interpretation Planner

To help develop an Interpretation Strategy for the project and prepare outline designs for the Delivery phase application.

The Cottage will reflect the history of Cranleigh and the history of the Cottage Hospital movement shown in 2D panels or free-standing movable panels and also through digital information points.

Volunteers will develop the themes and research archive material and will work with an Interpretation Designer to turn their research into an accessible public display. There is also an oral history project as part of the development phase, and these elements must be incorporated into the display.

This is a small project but has a fascinating story to tell to a wide audience and needs to be visually accessible and attractive.

-An understanding and commitment to Equal Opportunities and inclusive design and services.
