24/03/2020 – Lloyds Bank

Lloyds Mobile Banking service in Village Way suspended until further notice.

24/03/2020 – Vision Express

24/03/2020 – Boots

Opening times apply to big Boots only.

Open from 9.30am to 5pm to the public. This is so we can get essential work done to keep this moving in the right direction.

Closed from 12.30 till 1.30 so all staff can get some lunch and again essential work can be done. 2m distancing has been applied (look for the black and yellow markers)

If collecting prescription please ensure you know the name of person your collecting for, 1st line of address and postcode. These are rules laid down by our governing body not made up by us. Would also help if you have some idea of what you are being asked to collect and when the prescription( not the medication) was expected in store. This will make it a whole lot quicker in the queues.

Delivery charges will not be applied to over 70’s (only confirmed from today)

Our 1st preference would be for people who can ask for help do, either from friends or neighbours or from streetchampions@cranleigh-pc.gov.uk or Guildford and Waverley Volunteer Centre Telephone: 01483 565456. This would enable us to keep the service available to those who have no other option. The drivers cover a vast area of Surrey not just Cranleigh and surrounding villages.

Lastly we will deliver but you will be asked to pay ÂŁ5 ( introduced in September 2019) , the NHS do not pay anything to cover the cost of running such a service and we need the vehicles on the road.

We want to be able to be there for you at this time and would appreciate all enquiries to the store (01483 274207) for expert advice or information.

Also please allow plenty of time to order regular prescription medicines. We ask for 7 days but will and can do sooner if it needed/possible.

24/03/2020 – Smithbrook Picture Framing

It’s with a heavy heart we announce the closure of our framing business for three weeks while we wait for further government instructions.

We do apologise for any inconvenience, however we need to look out for ourselves and our business.

24/03/2020 – Cranleigh Show

The 2020 Cranleigh Show will take place on Sunday, 13th September 2020

The organising committee of the Cranleigh Show has today announced the postponement of this year’s show due to the increased threat of the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Following the Government’s guidance, it is likely that COVID-19 will still be active within our community in June so it was felt it is the most responsible action was to reschedule the Show to protect our visitors, volunteers, exhibitors and traders from the spread of the virus. We will continue to act on government advice and will be monitoring the situation closely.

The show will now be held on Sunday 13th September 2020.

This difficult decision has not been taken lightly but in the hope that the Show will be able to play a role, later in the year, supporting the local community to move forward. The intention is for all applications, entries and contracts to be carried forward to the new date.

The Show Committee would like to thank the public, traders, competitors and sponsors for their understanding and patience during this period of uncertainty and what is an unprecedented situation.

For further information please contact Anna Giller, Show Secretary 01483 267771 info@cranleighshow.org.uk

23/03/2020 – Food waste service for local businesses

Message from Waverley Borough Council:

We have been reminded to make local businesses aware of the food waste service at the Dunsfold AD facility. The waste collection partner (Benchmark Environmental) deliver the waste to Dunsfold, so businesses would contact them directly to arrange waste collections.

Suzi Sharratt email: sms@dbe.energy,  DBE Energy Ltd is the contact.—> https://w3w.co/grand.professed.animator

23/03/2020 – Little Manor Service Station

Like many businesses, Little Manor Service Station is needing to revise its operations in keeping with prevailing commercial and health requirements.

We have had to make the decision to revise our opening hours to 07.00 – 20.00 hours, as of tomorrow, Tuesday 24 March, for the time being. We hope this will not impact too much on you, our customers.

In the shop, we have made the difficult decision to withdraw our Rijo 42 Coffee facility as we see this as a significant risk area for transmission of the Virus. There are also floor markings to indicate the required social distance between customers whilst queuing.

On the plus side, we are still receiving regular deliveries from many of our suppliers. So, if you’re stuck for some of the essentials (including beer wine, and gin!), we may be worth a look.

And, as a reassurance, contrary rumours, there is no anticipation of fuel shortages in the foreseeable future.

Please follow us on Facebook for the latest information.

23/03/2020 – Cranleigh Co-op

Cranleigh Co-op would like to thank everyone for the great Cranleigh response to the call for people to apply for jobs as store colleagues to support the store in the present crisis. The store will be contacting some people for interview in the next couple of days and others a little later as events develop. Thanks once again for a fantastic response.

23/03/2020 – Manns of Cranleigh

In reaction to the Coronavirus outbreak, we have taken the decision to close the store temporarily with immediate effect. This decision has been taken with the health and wellbeing of staff, their families and the wider community in mind.

If you have any outstanding orders or specific enquiries please call between the hours of 10:00hrs and 14:00hrs and we will be able to assist – 01483 273777.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the store just as soon as our doors are open again.

23/03/2020 – ONE 40

It’s a sad moment but I’m afraid we have taken the decision, as of now, to close our doors temporarily. This is the first time in 60 years trading that we have had to do this, but Elaine & I think that it is the safest option for our staff and customers

On a personal note this is totally counter-intuitive. Fighters to the last we have had to recognise that this is the right moment to pack our tent. Please rest assured that, barring any further unknowns, we will re-open as soon as it is sensible to do so

I had hoped that we would be able to continue with some form of food takeaway and delivery but, having looked long and hard at how we might achieve it, we cannot find a way. I am sorry if you were pinning your hopes on a ONE 40 salad or a slice of heavenly carrot cake – absence does, though, make the heart grow fonder!

23/03/2020 – Cranleigh Post Office

Just to inform residents that cranleigh post office will still be open but from Tuesday 24th March we will be reducing our hours for the safety of everyone our hours will be Monday – Saturday 9-1 instead of 9-5.30 . I’m sorry for any inconvenience and hope everyone understands .

23/03/2020 – Can you help? Do you need help?

Anyone wanting to volunteer please email streetchampions@cranleigh-pc.gov.uk. https://www.cranleigh-pc.gov.uk/Cranleigh_Volunteers_30572.aspx There will be a number of roles available for those at home in isolation and those able to get out to deliver

23/03/2020 – New Lotus House

Dearest customers of New Lotus House.

We have been wrestling with this dilemma since Friday and after many sleepless nights we have come to the decision of closing our shop for a month. It was a difficult and tearful decision but one which we feel is in the best interest of our family and the public. We will revisit this decision in about a month and reassess the situation.

We would like to thank our customers for their continued support and look forward to serving you all again in the not too distant future.

Wishing everyone good health.

Jeffrey & Iris and the boys; Aaron, Ethan & Isaac.

23/03/2020 – SGG Dunsfold Park Garage

We are still open for business but taking everyones health and safety seriously. We are using bacterial wipes on surfaces we are in contact with, for example keys, steering wheels, credit card machines etc plus equipment/areas used by both employees and customers. In the reception area we will stand away from the desk to maintain the correct distance between us. We will remain open as long as possible and hope to see you soon.

22/03/2020 – One Stop

We are still having bread and milk deliveries 6 days a week, we have limited these products to one per customer per visit which seems to be helping. Our supply chain is still going strong and we will do our best to keep our doors open and our shelves stocked 😊 The community plays a big part in this so please everyone be considerate to others and only buy what you need, keep your distance and #bekind
Thanks for your support.

To all our amazing loyal customers
After another sleepless night . I have decided to close The Hair Boutique from today until the end of April but will await further information from the government in the extremely sad and difficult time.
Myself and all the guys at the salon are so lucky to have you all as such wonderful loyal clients and we hope to see you all as soon as possible in a safer time.
We will miss the chat and laughter that we all so much enjoy .
My team at the salon are not just employees but are my friends.

Much love and light to all of you over this uncertain period .
Keep safe and well
We will see you soon

Please do call, e-mail us or message us on social media for any last minute treatments today, gift vouchers or products. We are doing 20% off mini bundles of beauty products today and buy 1, get the 2nd at 40% off across all Dermalogica today too.

You will still be able to book online at the moment for appointments from the 30th April but we will endeavor to keep you updated if this changes. We will anticipate a very high demand when we do re-open.

Best wishes,

Harriet, Zoe, Vicki, Sabrina, Tasha, Amy, Sarah, Vanessa and Kristina x

21/03/2020 – ONE 40

Of course we saw it coming but we were not sure when and in what form, but as of now we have to close the Cafe. The real dilemma is  whether to close the shop too, and we will take time to consider our options. Our first priority is to our staff and for that reason we are changing our plans for this weekend

SATURDAY. As it’s Mother’s Day weekend we will open the shop from 10-4 (yes, with GIN)

SUNDAY. We will be CLOSED, a gift for the two Elaines who would have been working but can now be spoilt rotten by their families

FOOD
I am sorry but we will not be offering takeaway today. I want our wonderful Cafe staff to take a well earned breather

WHAT ARE WE DOING BEYOND THE WEEKEND?

We were shutting on Monday anyway but that means we have a bit of time to come up with a sensible plan

I’ll be in touch again soon with another delightfully extended missive to let you know what’s what – oh the anticipation

Stay safe
Richard

21/03/2020 – Cranfold Physical Therapy Centre

As of Monday 23rd, we will no longer be able to hold face-to-face appointments with our patients. As tough as this decision was, we know it is the best practice in the interest of protecting our patients, therapists, and staff here at Cranfold.

At Cranfold we continue to support our patients even though it may be under different circumstances.

We are moving into different ways of reaching out to you and connecting you with your physios by offering remote consultations either by telephone or over Skype.

If you already have an appointment booking in with us, we are on the case of getting in touch shortly to discuss your options.

If you would like to book in for one of these remote appointments, please do give us a call: 01483 267 747.

20/03/2020 – The Richard Onslow

To everyone in our community

As we’ve navigated our way through the Corona Crisis, we’ve been doing everything we can to protect the livelihoods of our team and serve our community the best we can.

Now along with everyone else, we’ll be temporarily closing our doors, whilst we work through our ideas to continue supporting our team and community. There are a number of things we are looking at, from food supplies to our elders and local care homes, to delivery of essentials for those in isolation. If you’ve got any ideas what we can do in this time of need, please do reply and we’ll work through each and every one.

It is a really worrying time for all of us, our team, our business Peach Pubs, all our wonderful suppliers, our industry and everyone in our community.

We have now received the powerful Government support which has allowed us to retain our team. Sadly some of our team will receive pay that is less than they are used to. We have created a hardship fund and if you wish to support them, buy a voucher or two. Every single penny will be paid to individuals within the team, dependent on their need, within 10 days of receipt.

Our thoughts are with you all and we look forward to welcoming you back for a glass of wine or a decent pint when the sun shines on us all again.

Stay safe and our best wishes to you and all your family,

Tom, Hamish & the Peach Partners

17/03/2020 – Cranleigh School

With increasingly restrictive government advice regarding Covid-19 being issued on a daily basis, we have taken the decision to close the school earlier than we would like. We have not yet had any confirmed cases of Covid-19, however the situation nationally is escalating rapidly. New information has been issued this afternoon, from Public Health England via the Boarding Schools Association. This latest update indicates that were we to have a pupil displaying the symptoms of a fever or new and persistent cough, we would have to treat the affected boarding house as a ‘household’ which would entail isolating and containing all pupils within the house for 14 days. This is a situation we do not wish to risk. This combines with an increasing number of staff who are having to self-isolate.

We will therefore be closing the school tomorrow, to ensure that the pupils in our care are not at risk of being isolated at school. We will continue to educate the pupils until the end of term using remote learning. We know this is an anxious time and we are very grateful, as always, for the support and kindness that exist within our immediate community.

17/03/2020 – Cranleigh Arts Centre

We cannot estimate how long this will be for but will be providing regular updates on our web-site, social media and by emails to audiences, Friends and supporters.”

17/03/2020 – Cranleigh 15/21

12/03/2020 – Cranleigh Medical Practice

We are following the advice from NHS England and Public Health England and changing ways of working. In order to minimise risk to patients and staff we are completing most of our consultations by phone or video link. If you would like an appointment please complete an online consultation via the website homepage www.cranleighmedicalpractice.com or book a telephone consultation via the NHS app. If you cannot do this please contact the practice by phone.

If you have an appointment already booked you may receive a phone call to see if it can be dealt with by telephone or video link. If the clinician that telephones feels you need to be seen, this can be arranged.

If you do visit the practice, please do not be alarmed if the clinician that you are seeing is wearing a mask or taking other precautions.

To cancel your appointment you can do this on-line online or call the practice to do this for you.

If you suspect that you may have Coronavirus (COVID-19) please stay at home and contact NHS 111 https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 or if you are unable please phone NHS 111 from any phone (it’s free), just dial 111.

The situation is changing quickly. This post was correct as of 12th March 2020.
