Can you tell us a bit about the history of your company?

I have always been passionate about the beauty industry and Idyllic is founded on my drive and commitment to creating a wonderful client experience. I built the salon from scratch with my father John.

We set out five years ago to offer something special and all our hard work paid off in 2017 as Idyllic took home the coveted title of Best Beauty Salon in the Nation at the Professional Beauty National Awards 3 rooms or fewer.

To be recognised by the professional beauty industry as the best salon in the country is a testament to what we have achieved.

How are you different from the competition?

Idyllic’s emphasis is on outstanding service and the personal touch. It requires the highest level of dedication to customer service and professional standards from all of the team at Idyllic.

Our clients love the relaxing ambiance they feel and receive as soon as they enter our beauty day spa and a highlight for many is being able to cosy up and chill out after their spa treatments in our deeply soothing Relax Lounge, in a beautifully soft Idyllic dressing gown, whilst they are served fresh fruit and herbal tea. This is a luxury for a beauty salon to offer and well worth it!

What are your favourite bits about the work you do?

For me my passion lies with my clients. I love nothing more than performing beauty treats and spa treatments on our clients. Making them feel better and seeing them leave a little happier than when they came in is a joy.

My real passion lies here, interacting with the customers but also ensuring the salon and the team lives up to their expectations as much as I can. Giving our customers the “Idyllic” experience.

What do you most like about working in Cranleigh?

Idyllic is loved by our clients and has become a destination on Cranleigh High Street. The village has a great buzz and community spirit. We feel very much settled and part of the village life, being a member of the Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce has definitely helped!

There is a real feel of ‘team spirit’ among the businesses in the village and a wonderful friendly atmosphere among fellow business owners and the rest of the village community. I can’t ever imagine Idyllic not being in Cranleigh!

Has your business got any exciting plans for the future?

I have always said from the start that I would love to open another Idyllic in another village in the future but currently no plans for that as of yet!

Our continued success has been proven as we were Winners of The Professional Beauty Regional Awards 2016 and Nationals 2017, Winners of The Cranleigh and District Business Awards  2017 and we have just won the Luxury Travel Guide Spa & Wellness Award for Boutique Spa of the Year 2018!

We are also Finalists again for The Professional Beauty Regional Awards 2018 for the third year in a row being held this October in Manchester.

We have some more exciting new launches coming this year and early 2019 with our Dermalogica Facials and Waxing so keep your eyes peeled!!!
