AJT-Editing provides professional proofreading and editing services for businesses, publishers and self-publishing writers.

I have 18 years’ proofreading and editing experience, and am a member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, of Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce and of the Surrey Hills Independent Networking Enterprise.

Proofreading and editing both involve identifying and rectifying any errors and inconsistencies in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and layout – be it an article, a manuscript, a leaflet, web content etc. Editing also involves suggesting improvements regarding clarity, logic, flow, structure and meaning.

For both proofreading and editing I can mark up hard copy using British Standards Institution (BSI) mark-up symbols, or I can work electronically on Microsoft Word or PDF documents.

In all cases, working with you to make the most of the written word.
